Wondering if it's connected similar to the R56 generation chrome was. I don't get my hands on mine for a few more days, but already have plans...

If anything like the R56 ones they are not bad at all to remove. It's just getting over the Oh Crap I hope I don't break nothing feeling. I'm pretty sure they will have a BLK LINE out like I got from Way Motor Works in Atlanta for my R56. Also if any of you are new to MINI I can not recommend Way Motor Works enough, Way is the best guy for MINIs that I have met.

I have dropped off a spare set of headlight and tail light rings, plus the large chrome surround for the front grille at my local paintshop today. I ordered them from the dealers a couple of weeks ago and they came from Germany within the week.

I'm going to try and get the dealer to fit them at PDI for me, as my F56 is still 3 weeks away at present.

Sound like a good idea...where the parts insanely expensive? I think I paid like $100 for black line headlight rings for my R56 and about the same for the taillight rings.

I'm okay with the chrome for now, but might consider the black once they're available and I see how they look installed.

My MA said they're very easy to install. He offered to help me install them if and when I buy a black set.

Just talked to a guy today he said the headlight rings was easy. BUT the grille is a pain in the butt you have drop the front bumper off. That sucks I changed the one on my R56 in like 10 minutes. This sounds like a job.
