I'd be happy to let you guys order them now but I just can't in good conscience till I know for sure they fit right. Clearances have to be just right on these things.
Awesome news! Thank you for the legwork!

I've been down for two since the start of this thread, that hasn't changed.

Checking in just to say that I registered just so I could keep my eyes on this. I'm down for two, I despise the round fob surround.

I guess I'm one of the few that doesn't mind the key fob. Obviously it's wider than it needs to be, but the tapered profile lets it slide into my pocket easily and I often forget it's in there. I don't keep any keys on me, so I removed the key ring. It's still a lot better than the "old" days where you'd get stabbed in the leg with a key occasionally, right?

I don't know, I keep my wallet in my pocket and once you add the key it makes a huge bulge. I just don't understand why they made it so huge for absolutely no reason.

...some people like a "huge bulge". I guess we are not driving Ram trucks so maybe we need a bigger key....well some of us!

wallet goes in the right rear pocket, key in the front left, and phone in the front right. anything else is just wrong.

I'm honestly not sure why it doesn't fit, he literally took the original key fob and 3d scanned it to get the inner shape correct. I'll be contacting him today to see what his thoughts are.

Yeah it's like it's just a hair too narrow.

Maybe add just a little bit of material to the sides to help it hold shape until it snaps in place.

It's kind of hard to see in the picture but there's one point where it hits the key fob just slightly too soon and that's what makes it warp at the ends.

I think it's funny that there are so many posts over the key fob. Who would have thought??.

Sometimes a company's choice to choose form over function can really strike a chord.

Couldn't agree more.....but for me the biggest thing is the center display. They have made every effort to justify it (tach. etc) but it makes no design sense ....With the rectangular shape stuck in it.

Not to thread-jack, but you're right. It would have been amazing to have a circular display where the screen real estate would have been better used. But then again, that may have meant $$$ more in the price of the option.

Ok he's going to widen it .25mm and angle the curvature just a hair to hopefully help give it more rigidity on the sides.

This would be a great alternative to my Roswell inspired key fob.
