Hi all!

So my driver's seatback started to have some play in it. If you push it, it will move unlike the passenger seat which is perfectly solid. Same if you sit in it and just lean back against it, it will budge some 1/2" or so.
Also, and quite scary, it will fully recline when I hit the gas unless I remember to firmly press down on the adjustment lever on the side of the seat. Its almost like the seat ratcheting system or gear (or whatever is in there) has some play and isnt locking the seatback firmly in place anymore.

I googled it and found many with similar issues dating back to gen 1 Mini Coopers.

What do I need to do here? Replace the entire seat? Replace the seat mechanism? Will my 2014 accept a driver's seat from a 2015/16/17/etc?
