Auto headlamps don't go off

Have a strange fix for this.

My auto headlamps weren't turning off during daylight.
I haven't driven nights in this car for weeks, so I never noticed that my interior lights stopped working.

Found a blown 5A fuse (#62) (interior lights)
Now the interior lights are working, AND my auto headlights are now working fine, off during day, they properly go on
when traveling in tunnels!!!

Strange!!!!

I am guessing the ambient light/IR sensor is powered off that interior light circuit. If the sensor/circuit is dead/off, the default is to have the auto lights in the 'on' position for safety reasons. Good info to note though, it would be a stretch to look for a blown fuse on the interior lights...

Yeah, I would guess the "auto" function is lights always on, the sensor turns them off during bright light.
And, yes the sensor is using the house light's circuit for power. Makes sense, as the sensor is right in front of the interior switches, and vanity lamps.
