Lighting system stop carefully

Anyone ever get this message? lighting system stop carefully Happened twice today, once after a relatively quick stop and the next time only after a moderately fast stop. No OBD2 codes pending or registered in the car and I can't see that any lights are out.

I had that on my M3 a few years ago. The Light control module went bad. Id have Mini look at it

Did your M3 have the Dynamic Braking Lights ?

I wonder on my car if the coding of that option several weeks ago could be the issue. Since it only appears when I do a fast stop.

Hmm ..... Man, I think it did but I really can't remember.

Heck, try uncoding that and see if it changes anything

That did the trick. No more message on hard stops. Also oddly noticed that the ASD had come back on its own. Now quiet again from the fake exhaust sounds. Odd!

Mini_Vinnie 03-01-2018 11:35 AM

That is interesting. Apparently, you are destined to hear the ASD

On the ASD it said something about "not recognized" so I turned it off once again. It really isn't that unpleasant and if it comes back on again I'll probably just leave it alone.

You did the blinkend on the BFD?

Yeah, that triggers the light for some reason.
I think you also have to disable cold and warm checks with that setting, but I can't remember which bulbs.
