Every so often I find myself googling pics of the F54 Concept in Red with those smoke chrome wheels and cool mirrors. Anyway there are two things that I absolutely love about the concept that didn't make it to the production model: the driving lights built into the gloss black bumper piece up front and the center mounted exhaust in the back.

Regarding the lights, I'm very tempted to pick up one of those pieces, drill out the holes and try to relocate my fog lights in there. I also find the Non-S bumper looks a little cleaner.
The exhaust im more concerned about, because obviously we have two mufflers back there. I always wondered why we get dual exhausts when the cooper has a single with double tips. If I was to source an F56 exhaust and make a custom rear valence for the rear bumper could I make that work? Mechanically the exhaust should be ok however I'd expect it would have to lengthened a bit.

Should I just not even bother trying these or is there something there.....

I like the bumper lights and the rear spoiler. Would be a cool accessory kit for those items.

The exhaust might take a little bit more work to fit up, since it would need a new bumper valance. It could probably be done with a little creativity.

 

There were a lot of cool details on the Clubman Concept which didn’t make it to production unfortunately. Same with the Scrambler and the original R51 render and R55 Clubman Concept.

 

Agreed, I've often thought of "recessing" some lighting into the front grill bar but never found anything I liked enough...that and I haven't modded it nearly as much as I've thought.

 

Well since no one came out and said “dude you’re nuts”, I went ahead and ordered a new gloss black bumper strip from eBay and am in negotiations to get a rear valence from a non s so looks like I’ll have some projects for the spring
