High-beam Assistant

I just got an’’Clubman with many features that I’m still trying to figure out. MINI has managed to change a lot since I bought me ‘06.

I have the automatic lights that that turn on and off as necessary, but I have also read about the automatic dimmer of the high beams. How can I tell if I have this feature. I do have a lens as part of the rear view mirror. Which I assume does something.

Any help is appreciated.

If I remember correctly, the switch for auto high beams is on the end of the blinker stalk. There are two buttons on the end, the upper one is for auto wipers and the lower one is for auto high beams. If you have the lower button, then you presumably have the feature.

It's a really nice feature on lonely mountain roads at night when cars are infrequent. Only used it once so far driving up to Taos, but it was cool.

I only have one button on the stalk. It labeled BC, and changes the display on the instrument cluster, showin MOG, avg speed, date, etc. What was the assistant part of, option wise? What is the option code, as I have the build sheet.?

Oh, you're right, the upper button is the trip computer button. I think the lower one is auto headlights. I'd check, but I'm away from home for a few months.

Not sure what option it came with. Auto dimming mirrors maybe.

I only have one button, but I do ave the auto dimming. I’ve searched to try to find more detail about this but have been unsuccessful so far.

I believe that is correct, with the button for auto wipers being on the stalk on the other side of the steering wheel, where the other wiper controls are located.

If you've only got one button on the end of the turn signal stalk, then you do NOT have the automatic high beams. The auto-dimming interior and driver's side exterior mirrors can be spec'd irrelevant to the automatic high beams.

Yeah, it looks like I do not. The manual was not very clear. Thanks to all that replied.
