2017 Clubman engine light keeps coming on

i have a 2017 clubman all4, automatic with 37k km on it. for some reason my engine light started to come on beginning on Jan. After a day or so the engine light went off by itself. So i did not pay attention to it. After a week or so, the engine light came back on again, so i took it to the dealer. they did a software update and change the oil. This was last week Jan 24th. And today the engine light came back on again. What can be the reason for that? I booked another appointment with them for Tuesday. i don't want this to be a continuous problem. I bought this car brand new, not even 2 yrs old yet.

There's just no way to know without reading the codes.

Mine came on for a day LAST week, I thought it was the cold... then this week.... nothing. But the clutch is not being good at below -10

Did they not call out the CEL code on the paperwork?
Around here you can go to most auto parts stores and they'll check and tell you the code that's being thrown.

Mine came on too, on Feb 1st (2017 F54, 2 years old). But, based on elapsed time it's past due for a service, as per the vehicle status menu, so I'm wondering if this was just a way to get attention as a reminder to take it in. Will find out on Friday!

they said the fuel delivery system was too high, they reset it to lower. Also they suggest i did not drive it long enough during the freezing the temperature we had last week. But i know that's not true since it was so cold, i drove to work instead which takes about 40 mins with no traffic for around 30km. Hopefully this time now it is fixed.

I also had a check engine light on my Clubby about a year ago and it was also a fuel system related issue. They replaced fuel sensor (pressure?) of some sort though. Wasn't just a "reset".
