Anyone Hearing Rumors About a New JCW Clubman?

I'm thinking of trading my 2017 Clubman S All4 for the JCW version, but I keep hearing and reading spurious rumors about a new JCW Clubman that's due out that packs 300+ horsepower. I'd hate to pull the plug on a current JCW if there's any truth to these rumors. That being said, has anyone on the forum heard credible information that would support these rumors?

This article mentions it briefly http://www.motoringfile.com/2017/11/...nges-detailed/

Yes, I saw that. Thanks for sharing.

However, I wish that I could hear or read something that was more definitive. With my luck, I'll no sooner buy a JCW now, that 300+ hp model will come right around the corner.

I also noticed if I configure a JCW Clubman on the MINI USA site, I get a pop up message saying "this vehicle may not be available", which makes me wonder if there's some change underway?

The changes it notes are because the 2019 MINIs are in production now and the configurator has not yet been updated with the new pricing/packages.

F54 and F60 are not part of the LCI refresh in the 2019 models, only the F55, F56 and F57.

For what i read, the JCW production line is shut down due to new UE regulations. Current engine can't performe to this new regulations and so they suspended the production until they can come up with a solution.

MINI also took a step back on the JCW PRO exhaust for the F54 (and the same kit for the cooper s), because they were not able to homologate it.

So maybe they will still sell JCW in the USA but i don't think it's 100% sure.

Based on the information we’ve gathered from sources this will affect all JCW models in Europe (even the JCW Engine Kit as mentioned yesterday).

F56/F57 JCW & ALL4: Production stop from 06/18 to 03/19
F54/F60 JCW: Production stop from 06/18 to 07/19
JCW Engine Kit: The Engine software has been WLPT approved but the exhaust is not. This means all new JCW Engine Kits in Europe will only come with JCW Engine management software

Yep i would get one while you can. Might be a shortage in a little bit, but that yet to be seen. MINI is waiting for the F60 and F54 update on homologation for the JCW Tuning stuff.

The X2 M35i's SOP is 11/18 IIRC, you'd have to assume if the JCWs are going to switch to the B48A20T1 as well, it'll be after the X2 gets it.

Love ours had it just over 12 months now. I plan to get it re mapped in the future to bring it near to 300 bhp. But it's wheels first then lower it :-)
