Countryman to Clubman question

currently have a 2016 Countryman s, last year of 1st gen. Have opportunity to get a great deal on a 2018 clubman s, anyone upgrade from an r series car to an f? A lot of the annoyances (no dials for ac, Bluetooth for phone only, usb/aux special charger for iPhone that barely charges) have been addressed. Thoughts?

We (my wife mainly) just went from the same '16 Countryman S to an '18 Clubman S. It definitely is a different feel. I'm 6'3" and when I drove the countryman I felt like i was driving in a minivan with the high seating position. That's been largely fixed in the latest countryman but it still feels high to me. The clubman feels a bit sportier and I can drop the seat almost to the floor so I don't feel like my head is hitting the roof. We went with the Harmon Kardon sound system which sounds really nice. Getting used to not having to use the key dongle is the biggest hurdle with the car. The foot sensor for the rear doors comes in really handy as well. I highly recommend going for a test drive to feel out the car and see how you like it.

We're an Android house but connectivity through bluetooth is still pretty good even though Mini might as well be owned by Apple. Calls, texts and music all work well. If you have an iPhone your experience will be much better with Apple Car Play. My wifes favorite part though is the Mini projector light in the mirror although I've been tasked to figure out how to change it to a batman symbol. :D

Yes we did last year form an R60 All4 SD (2012) to a 2017 F54 JCW I love it best modern car I've every had. Puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it so much nicer to drive then the R60 better fit and finish and a lot more comfortable.

Traded my 2011 R60 Countryman Cooper S ALL4 after 131.000 miles together for a F54 Clubman JCW ALL4.

I loved my R60, but the new F54 is on a totally different level of fun and comfort. Just do it and you will not regret it

I think my next Mini will be an F54 JCW, depending on when the G4 Minis come out. Anyone have any idea when that is? They had the G2's for 7 years. If they did the same with the F series then the next one would release in late 2020. Right?

Ordered a 2019 JCW clubman yesterday, build week June 4th. It’s going to be a long 6-8 weeks.
