Yes, please report back on those permutations with the fob. FWIW, I've confirmed on our '17 that the fob will open the rear doors with the auto in "D" only if the brake is applied and the vehicle is at rest. Moving forward even a few mph locks out the fob.

Happened Again!!

My wife is standing with the push cart loaded with clay pots outside the garden center at the local Home Depot waiting for me to go get the Clubman. As I pull up my wife is laughing and explains that the Home Depot guy asked her if she was going to need help loading and he commented, "I hope you brought a truck." To which my wife replied without missing a beat, "Oh yeah. We brought the good truck."

You could have bought at least four more and stacked them. Go back!

I did actually buy more. They're smaller and loaded inside the big pots, so you'll have to trust me. Unless you need to see a photo of the receipt

Trust, but verify.....

I trust you on the 'hidden' pots, but I am guessing you could have squeezed 8 more of those big pots in there, depending on how deeply they nested, at least 4 at a minimum...

A member of my local MINI club brought a hot water heater home in his 2011 R56.

Great.

Those big pots are friggin' heavy. But, if you insist, when my back heals I'll go get more.

And I'll be sure to tell my wife she didn't buy enough stuff at Home Depot and she needs to go back for more. But then, she probably already knows that

Just finished an 11-day visit to the Hawaiian islands with the family. As so many families tend to do, we way overpacked. Yet, what did we take to the airport? The Suburban? The A6? Nope -- the Clubman, with 3 passengers and our luggage. Fit with some room to spare.

First island -- rental is a Nissan Altima. We puzzled about how to fit the luggage, but managed to do it, some in the trunk, some in the back seat.

Second island -- rental is a Buick Regal. Despite having 30K more miles than the Altima had, WAY better car. Remind me never to even consider an Altima. Anyway, despite having a larger-looking trunk than the Altima, due to the opening size, was a little bit more challenging ... but everything fit.

Return to the mainland, grab the Clubbie from long-term parking, and phew -- everything just slid in comfortably, no planning, no re-attempts. Give me a 2-box design anytime.

Great report. Only points deduction I can see would be for leaving your Good Truck unattended at the airport parking lot while you enjoyed 11 days of Aloha. Jet exhaust fallout

Yes, and worse, had to park on the roof of the garage. Car is filthy. Will get a nice bath this weekend.

On the space thing -- my son was wishing several times that we'd rented a Jeep (frankly, so was I, though the wife wouldn't have liked it on the long drives). But chances are we wouldn't have had room for our stuff!

1 point deducted for every day the Clubman remains unwashed.

Washed the car today, phew!

So I calculate that between the days at the airport and the days since, I owe 35 internet points. Then add the 232 for all the days I haven't had my mirrors auto-folding, and another 391 for the days I haven't had a Dinan module.

Fortunately, I have way more than 658 points in my account! So I've rounded up and donated 700 internet points to charity in 2017All4's name.

So, since the points were donated in my name, thankyouverymuch, do I get the tax deduction for the charitable donation?

Glad you have a clean Clubman. Dinan has a new fancy tuner box -- one with your name on it is available. And if you've got the power mirrors, a little programming will make them fold like magic... gotta have it all on your Good Truck.

Alright, I have another adventure. Again I know I will be deducted for not having the barn doors still partially open in operation but here we go.

A couple weeks ago we were really low on salt for the water softener at the house, so I zip down to the store to get some supplies for dinner as well as a couple bags of salt. Well, the salt was on sale so I thought, "Heck, I've got The Good Truck with me! Better get a few!" and so I bought ten bags. I forgot that they were 40 pounds each.... So now there are 400 pounds of salt in the back of The Good Truck! Drove home no problems at all!

From a distance not too bad

Upon closer inspection we are awfully close to rubbing

Yep. 10 bags of salt. and a new fan!

I think you earned 100 points with ZERO deductions Camyman. Heavy load, bought more shi# than you went to the store to get, rode low comin' home, and you used the Good Truck.

Extra points should be awarded if you were in Sport mode, IMHO

And I'm hopin' you plan to crank some home made ice cream with a bit of that rock salt, now that you have a lifetime supply

Impressive, car should have ridden nice and 'smooth' with that weight all the way back there!

Outstanding. Double points for great haul, full load, and scoring a bargain. Points will be doubled again if it is confirmed the compressor works.

Compressor operated prior to loading. Wasn't going to take this beast home without testing it 1st!

Then you get all the points. Unless...if you failed to use the hands-free kick technique to get those barn doors open... or, worse, if you did the kick and it didn't work the first time or, worse still, if you did the kick, opened the doors, but did not have an audience to impress.

As they say in the NFL, there's no such thing as easy points.

The bumper strip is from Motoring Stripes. I looked at one other which I think you can get from Outmotoring that was heavier and more expensive. I thought the Motoring Stripes was a better option. Here's a link to the site.... http://www.motoringstripes.com/clubm...-protect-strip

This thread is starting to cost me $$.

There are 2 different posters on this thread who posted photos of loot they loaded into their Clubbies and BOTH show fans they bought.

Thus, yesterday I went to Home Depot and bought a 20" Lasko box fan so the guy who is refinishing our kitchen cabinets doesn't die from toxic vapors. Set me back $16 and change, plus tax.

Only thing that made me feel good was takin' the Good Truck to Home Depot, once again. (Wasn't a full load, so, sadly, no need for a photo. But I did do the kick open of the rear door and nailed it on the first attempt -- with nobody watching).

Let's see some more documentation of interesting Clubman loads people have hauled. We know that ya'll are puttin' junk in the trunk, or is it loot in the boot???

Do you mean this fan? It's a real doozy.....it only cost $4. Do you think I over paid?

Oh, man! Now see, what you need to do is get an inverter, then mount that monster fan on the roof of your Good Truck -- maybe with a couple of rolls of duct tape -- fire up the fan on high and, along with the Dinan, you will gain many horses and go very fast. Just gotta make sure the fan is spinning in the correct direction.

BTW, the fan I bought, for 4 times what you paid, has 3 speeds, just like the trannys on my old Jaguars
