Converting to a heated windscreen.

Hello everyone. I am converting my US Spec 2008 R56 to a heated windscreen. Can anyone help supply any diagrams, coding, info, or general information that may assist me. I have ordered the switch and cover, and a relay needed. I know I can get the glass. I still have to see if any existing wiring is in the vehicle presently. I don’t have my hopes up but maybe I’ll find a surprise.

Thank you all for any help you may give.

Ivan

You can find information and wiring diagrams for the heated windshield here:

One tip about the wiring diagrams: the blue labels on the diagrams are hotlinks you can click on. In Firefox browser, when you hover the mouse over a blue label, the pointer changes from an arrow to a finger pointer to show you it's a clickable link. On Chrome, the pointer changes to the wrong style (text cursor) but the hotlink still works if you click. Seems like a bug in Chrome.

Thank you for that! That is very helpful.

it looks like I’ll have to update the VO list in 1 or more modules. Do you have any info along those lines?
