question about brakelight wiring?

Are the brakes wired such that if one is out, the third (upper/roof)brake light wouldn't light up? Almost like old christmas ligths......if one light in the series goes out, so do others down the line? I know the interior lights are done this way (speed and tach)....just wondering.

My rear right brake light is out, and i just discovered that so is the top brake light. But it's highly unlikely (in my mind) that the 3rd brake light would go out before many of the other bulbs seeing as how its all LEDs which theoretically last longer. So is it not lighting up because there is a dead bulb in the path?

Any help?

Lights

The Mini's lights (except for the reversing light) are all controlled by the "BC1" (Body Control) which is an electronic module located in the right front foot well.

Each brake light is individually controlled by the BC1

On some cars the sunroof leaks, and water runs down the A pillar and ruins the $$$ BC1. BC1 have failed for other reasons.

If there are any modifications to the MINI factory wiring, expect a warranty argument from your dealer.
