I installed the Intelligent brake flasher (IBF9) with about 7-9 FLASHES/4 seconds, took about 15 minutes on Saturday. 3 screws and the center brake light pops out, unclipped from the factory plug, sliced into the red and black wires on the light itself ( keeps the factory wiring intact ). Works great...

 

Welcome to the Flashing club... Can you post a detailed write up on what wires you spliced to... as I forgot and there is a MINI owner on here that wants to know.
I'm out of town still so I can look at mine

 

I've had a few Police, Highway Patrol & Sheriff cars pull up behind me or near me in the daytime and at night and all look but I've never been pulled over for my flashing 3rd brake light. Its been on my car for over a year. All city buses here have them and some school buses do to.
