retrofit openometer $6A1

I am trying to get the digital display in the rev counter to work for the openometer data. If you have an openometer (option $6A1) you will have the physical analogue openometer attached to your revcounter..
My 2012 Roadster S, doesn't have the openometer option, but I would like to have the information on the rev counter. I don't want the analogue meter.

What I have tried so far:

-added the option $6A1 to the VO/FA with NCS expert (both to CAS and FRM)
-went trough the .trc file of the KOMBI module, to see if something was there.

So far no luck in displaying the data. Below is a picture of what I would like

Does anyone have an idea? Maybe someone with an actual openometer could upload the KOMBI trace file?
Does the digital info still work for the people who have physically removed the openometer (for example to install a temp gauge)

Update: I've got the image of the roadster showing in the display and the trip-open-counter is working. However the left "all time-counter" shows 9999:59h. :confused:Is there any way to reset this?

Hi Reinout. Your 2012 R59 came without the openometer? I thought they were always installed. I have a 2014 and I'm currently trying to find an R58 housing I can swap my tach into.

He's in Europe. The Openometer was standard only in the US, optional everywhere else (about $200 extra).

You are right.
Since I don't like to have the extra meter, I would like to see just the digital numbers. Now if only I knew how to reset the "all time" counter:confused:

Solved. Reset was dead easy with ISTA+

Good job, but more than I am willing to try.
I have a Canadian 2012 with NO openometer.
