R55 Clubman Rear Trunk/Hatch Lights

So, I've been reading in the forums and my Bentley manual, but I can't seem to trace this issue. When I open the front doors of the car or unlock it the interior and trunk lights come on. However, when I open the back doors, no lights come on. Except when I've just closed the front doors or keep unlocking the car. I know that there was a discussion about the regular hatch having a plunger that they needed to replace, but I can't find one for the clubman.

Any thoughts on why it's not detecting that my doors aren't open?

Side note, I have issues with the latch on the driver side opening and occasionally sticking. I think that is independent of this but thought I would mention it.

Thanks
