Trailer Hitch Wiring

Hello Everyone,

Just hoping someone can help shed some light on this for me or think of another thing I am not thinking of.

I hooked up the trailer lights as per this set of instructions:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwa...lSOTQ1RHM/view

Did this a few weeks ago and ONLY the blinkers are working so I figured I tapped the wrong brake and tail light lines. Checked today and they are hooked up correctly. I am pretty sure it is not a ground issue, as the turn signal lights are nice and bright and ground issues are common with lights not working.

I defintely tapped the correct lines as per those instructions and everything looks great but no Brake lights or running lights on the trailer.

I know the trailer lights and grounds are also good because I hooked them up to my truck before I sold it not too long ago and all worked well.

Did anyone hook this up recently and find that these instructions were wrong? Says it should be the Brown wire

I also just completed an installation on a 2016 F55 and while all the lights seem ok, the trailer yellow side marker lights also come on with the brakes. Had the same problem with the install on my 2010 R57 convertible but forget the fix right now. BMW wiring is a PITA thats for sure. :-(
