Clear Lenses for Xenons?

Does anyone know about installing clear lenses in their Xenons? Is it worth it?

I called The Retrofit Source to find out more, and they said that I'd have to take apart my lights, measure the original lenses and then order clear lenses and spacers. Then I'd have to adjust them with spacers to get the cutoff that I want. I probably don't have all of this right.

Clear lenses (not specific to MINI's):

Getting ready to do the Joey Mod on the Xenon's on my '09 Clubman.....don't really want to have them out of commission while I order clear lenses.....if it's even worth it.....

I hadn't heard of this mod before and looked it up. Some people like a super sharp cutoff with a blue cutoff line. The practical benefit seems questionable and not necessarily desirable. I think there's a reason why the mod isn't well known or popular.

Thanks rkw, that helps....I was thinking that a clear lens would offer some real performance benefits.....sounds like sharp and colorful cutoffs are the primary objectives of fitting a clear lens....and aren't something that I'm after.
