Dome and map light LED

After digging through endless posts and threads on LED bulbs for interior lights, I've run into problems with the central dome light and the front map lights.

All other interior lights (footwell, right and left rear map lights, boot light) have all been W5W lights. Every bit of info I can find points to this same bulb working in both the center dome light and front map lights. I am, however, finding conflicting info in the Bentley manual which claims these are W6W lights.

In terms of troubleshooting the issue, so far I've: reversed the lights for polarity mismatch, swapped other non-LED lights into the socket and they work, swapped socket from another spot with known-working LED in that socket and it doesn't work.

Any help would be awesome.

In my experience, I have found that sometimes, the sockets (and that is sockets anywhere on a vehicle, not just the lights you are having troubles with) may need to be bent/adjusted slightly to make good contact with the LED bulbs to get them to light up properly.

My R55 Clubman has LEDs in the interior so they should work. Good Luck!

Well, after removing reinserting the LED about 15 different times it now works in the dome light. However, I cannot get the map lights to work for the life of me .

I guess I don't use them that often anyhow and the dome lights are a bigger priority because they come on when the doors open (much nicer looking).

My dome light does not come on when doors open, or when I press the button. I think I need to trace a freaking wire
I went out today, bought an LED light thinking the bulb burnt out, replaced the bulb, and nothing
