Noob NCS Expert/BMW Standard tools question...

I'm wondering if I can use either of these programs to reprogram my power windows on my 2008 R56 S.

I've got lots of automotive diagnostic experience, but I'm pretty new to the Mini. I have the INPA K-Can cable coming.

My windows are doing that bounce halfway open thing and I'm hoping to take care of it myself. The closest dealer is horrible, and is the only one in the state. I tried searching but was unable to find a concise answer. Thanks!

Have you tried re-initializing them? Just roll the window down and hold it like five or ten seconds longer after the window is all the way down then roll up and hold it there again, should initialize...worked on my 13' mcs, I think it's the same setup.

I did thy that method, in addition to the method that calls for removing the fuse to clear the initialization, and also leaving the battery disconnected overnight.

I have seen other people posting here with the same issue. Apparently, it's a known problem with the R56 that requires progamming. Some people have had to make two, three, four, or more trips to the dealer to get it resolved. That's not going to be me.

Sounds like I'm on my own here. I will post up the results.
