I had to set PWM_AL to wert_01.

I would like to put this xenon 25w retrofit kit set in my US spec R56 but the one i would like to buy would be the black european version (part number 63102347956 &63102347957).if i could get my hands on a set, would it work?
Does anyone know if this euro version set would have something different than the US version other than the color? I imagine that the ballast are different from the US version, but i am not sure of it.

Its the same thing, they just have a different cutoff pattern for the light, thats all (LHD version Euro) And if they are RHD the pattern is opposite of what you need.

Those are the numbers you ECS guys gave us at the beginning of this thread.
I looked up those numbers online and they came back correct but I don't think they are available on US systems.

Just for clarity, US, Canada & main-land European countries are all Left-Hand Drive - LHD.
Only the UK (& most Commonwealth countries) is RHD.

Hi everyone. I'm installing these lights on my early 2009 build R56. I am new to NCS Expert and have spent a couple of hours learning how to use it. I was able to get $522 into the VO for CAS and FRM, but I cannot for the life of me figure out where to do this step.

Changes headlight pinout
PWM_FL_BEI_BIXENON
wert_01
wert_01

Can someone walk me through it from start to finish please? I have very bad flickering and flashing of the headlights.

Nevermind. I changed a couple of the pulse width modulation settings. The one above was change to wert_02 and another one was changed to wery_01 using BimmerCode and it worked.

How about anyone In LA or Orange County? I don't mind traveling. I'm also not asking to have this done free of charge.

Since this thread seems dead, I went to Mini of Escondido and was quoted $209 for the coding.

$209 doesn’t seem bad in my book. It was a pain in the *** getting inpa set up and then getting it to work for me. I had to do my own because there are no mini dealers for 200 miles from me. I would have gladly paid someone with a setup to do it for me, but I couldn’t find anyone near me either.

Just picked up the factory retrofit from ECS for my 2013 R56 to fix the tragic halogen units. I installed the units but they only work in accessory mode, so guess I need to do the configuration and coding. Does anyone know if this can be done with ISTA+, or is this NCSExpert only (I'm completely new to coding/configuration). Any pointers appreciated.

Everything went perfect! After hooking them up, I poked around in NCSexpert for a while and ended up with this combo that didn't flicker and also didn't throw a bulb-out warning:

1. Added $522 VO for Xenons

2. FRM Module Changes:

Disables auto-leveling
AUTO_LWR_ENABLE
nicht_aktiv

Also disables auto-leveling
DYNAM_LWR_ENABLE
nicht_aktiv

Changes headlight pinout
PWM_FL_BEI_BIXENON
wert_01
wert_01

I still have no clue why MINI claims they only work on 2009+ vehicles. I'll post here if anything stops working or is giving me problems, but at the moment, I don't see any issues.

I have installed this kit on my 2013 R56S four years ago, so my memory may be failing me. As far as I remember everything worked fine out-of-the-box except the strobing on start. So if I remember correctly I did the programming as outlined in this post. I certainly don't remember any other issue with lights operation. Are you sure all connections have been done right? As for coding, I've been using NCSExpert, but looks like others have successfully used BimmerCode.
