This might be best answered by a dealer parts-counter guy and maybe someone here can answer before I drive down to the dealer to see what they've got.

I'm wondering if MINI makes wiring harness repair bits available. What I'm trying to do is find a better way to install replacement horns. MINI uses really nice water-tight locking connectors for the lights and horns and I really would like to find a way to use those existing connectors and not cut into the stock wiring harness.

What I'm envisioning is a wire harness section that has the female connector on one end and a couple pieces of wire attached that I can then crimp spade connectors onto to connect the aftermarket horns.

This way I can simply snap the repair section into the existing stock plugs for the horns, thus having a great watertight junction that is completely reversible.

Can any dealer-type folk out there tell me if such a thing exists, and even better what the part number is?

Go to any auto parts store (like Kragen or Pep Boys) and explain your problem to one of the counter guys. They have lots of misc hardware for this type of situation.
