Driver's side Xenon hanging limp = help

Both Xenons and all other lights illuminate fine, but the driver's side assembly is not staying in an elevated position like the passenger side. When I took off the back cover plate to check the non-Xenon bulbs, the whole unit inside will move up and down about 1/2" but stays in the down position. Please offer assistance. I have the Bentley manual but don't want to start replacing "modules" before I hear from the experts on here.

Thanks in advance,

Ultrahuck

If the piece inside is moving / loose it's come detatched somehow and may have even broken at the mounting tabs inside, the only thing you can do besides replacing the whole thing is to open it up ala Joey Mod and either re-attach or possibly have to glue it back in place.

If you haven't done a joey mod before, just look it up in the "how to" & give it a try, it's actually very easy. Besides, worse case scenarieo is you would have to replace it anyway, might as well give it a try & turn it into a learning experience, not to mention saving you a bunch of money.

Perhaps finding the broken components and reattaching them or creating a new attachment via JB Weld?
