Radio doesn't work

So as stated above my radio is not working, it hasnt been for sometime.

I've tried tackling this a few times by:
Checking the fuse in the box and on the radio as well as checking the one under the hood but theyre all good.

I have 13 amps all the way to th radio and when you turn the lights on its back lit.

I bought a used radio off alwzopn that was in known working order and installed it yesterday and no change identical results.

So I hav no clue where to go from here
Ideas?

Do you have an ipod connection, or aux input? If so, try unplugging from radio with radio off, then turn on radio. Just for kicks.

The same thing happened to me. My radio just gave out on me one day but the radio itself is still backlit. I've tried swapping the fuses as well. I brought the mini to the dealership and they told me the radio was faulty and I would need a new one. They wanted $953 dollars for a new radio, not even including labor. I was stunned to say the least.

Do mini's have radio codes? If I go onto ebay and buy a radio am I going to run into problems?

I bought a radio and had it coded over to my car and it still doesn't work, I'm out of ideas
