Disable Headlight Washers
I want to disable my headlight washers because one of them broke and i don't use them anyway. I see that F23 is the fuse for the headlight washers, I went under the dash pulled out F23 turned on my car and the headlight washers still worked....what am i doing wrong? thanks
EDIT: I see that the fuse to control the headlight washers was F25, not 23 so I pulled that out and it worked, but I also see that R2 is the headlight washers also? Should that be pulled out as well? |
Unless you don't use the rear washers, i suggest just not filling the container with liquid. The nozzles are pressure activated, if there's no fluid, they won't pop out. (Although I've never tried this I believe that is how it works).

You are better cutting the power to the washers. That will kill that headlight washing system. You could drain the reservoir, but if you don't kill the power it will burn up the pump.
As far as your initial question. The F25 is a fuse. Removing the fuse should be good enough to kill it. The R2 is a relay for that system. You can leave it in. With the fuse removed it the relay will not operate. |
