Okay, sorry for the never ending stream of inane questions: Do you take off your wheels to get at those or just deal with getting dirty from rubbing the tires with your arms? Thanks.

You could either jack the car up or turn the wheels, or do both for even more clearance.

I just turned the wheels, try not to do it right after you drive through the mud. I did this almost as soon as I got the car so there wasn't much to get dirty + my arms are not grizzly size.

I made my own clear lenses to replace the amber ones. Check out this thread.

Front fog lights - H8
MINI factory driving lights - H3
Front and rear turn signals - 7506
Front marker light (upper 1/3 above fogs) - W5W
Side marker/flasher - W5W
License plate lights - 6418 or C5W

I'm definately going to change the turning signal bulbs but djam43 says they're 7507's and msh441 says they're 7506's.

So who's correct?

Maybe neither? PY21W is the one I got AND is what's on the OEM orange bulbs.

so I'm taking care of the egg yolks in the headlights by removing the orange lenses and putting in some chrome painted amber bulbs. Is there any way to do the same thing with the tail lights to get rid of the amber circles? I'd love to get rid of those orange tail light centers...

Are the front and rear turns diff bulb/socket in white package because the owners manual states front PY 21 W /rear P 21 W which is front 7507 140deg offset /rear 7506,1156 180deg offset.

I do realize they might require diff bulbs depending on white or orange lense... I just want to know because people talking about filing pins and wanted to know what socket is acually in my car. I would look myself but doesn't come in till next week.

and side marker W5W aka: 2821, 2825, 158, 168, 194 ... correct?

This is a good quick mod. I had the dealer throw mine in with the car.

I'm definately going to change the turning signal bulbs but djam43 says they're 7507's and msh441 says they're 7506's.

So who's correct?

Just got my MINI today and when I pulled rear turn bulb it was the offset
pinned bulb which makes it 7507. So I am going with 7507 not 7506.

Painted bulbs with silver metallic dupli-color

I found chromed bulbs on ebay, but it was sooo easy to just paint my current bulbs. I just went to the auto parts store and picked up a can of silver metallic dupli-color. Then, I popped out my lights, taped up the bases, and hit the bulbs with a LIGHT coating of paint. Wait for them to dry, put them back in, and voila! No egg yokes. Has to be the easiest mod in the world (and cost 7 bucks with tax).

This is all assuming you opted for the white turn signals in the configuration.

Amazing how different the car looks now.

My problem is removing the stock head light bulbs. I can un clip the bulbs housing but I can not remove the bulb it's self to install the new ones. I see there is a Little metal tab to push and I assume you pull the bulb out but it just won't pull out. These are non HID

Is this a definite? I'm on the verge of getting a used '08 MCS with the white turn signal light option noted on the original window sticker. But looking at pics of the car, the lenses in the headlight look amber (not just the bulb)???

i have white turn signal option on my car and all the listed items have white signal lens with yellow bulbs.

This pic makes it look like I have amber lenses in the head light cluster but it's just the reflection

Yoke-less

Little did I know that I had two silver bulbs lying in my box o' car junk. Took out the yellow turn signals (thank goodness I have the clear marker option) and slapped those in. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.
