Apparently the previous owner took out the Garmin. I searched around and purchased the cheapest factory refurbished nevi 1390 that I could find. I got the cheapest HD I could find and mounted the gps on the factory mount. The HD plugs into the OBDII port and communicates by bluetooth to the gps so the only wire you have is for power and it was hidden. I had Boost in the middle large gauge, Water Temp, Air Intake, and varied the other gauges. I had a MINI splash screen on the nevi and even though I rarely used the gps, had a red MINI with black stripes instead of the regular arrow for location.

I subscribe to Motoring File Daily and this interesting and timely article was in my inbox this morning:

Seems it isn't so easy to spot those R56 JCWs.
Enjoy your new one, JPMM!

I am brand new to the 'Mini Family' and followed your link to the excellent newsletter website. But, how do you 'get subscribed'? I can't find any way to sign up anyplace. I have not read the entire thread on your new purchase, but I will tell you that I bought my plain-jane 2005 R50 on ebay, flew to Newark to get her, and drove her home, grinning all the way! I hope your experience is similar.
