We have moved our May Meet-n-Eat to Jimmy Jack's Rib Shack in Iowa City.

If you've never visited Jimmy Jack's in Iowa City, you are in for a TREAT! They have amazing Ribs, Pork, Chicken, Turkey, Sausage and Portabello sandwiches. Along with amazing fries, cornbread and all the fixings for some good BBQ!

Rendezvous time for meeting up will be 2:00pm at Jimmy Jack's If we find their lot is too full there is Sycamore mall directly across the road that we can all park in and walk across the way quickly enough.

They have indoor and outdoor seating so depending on the weather that day we can sprawl out inside and out to enjoy our food and converse.

We hope everyone can make it and we'll hopefully see some new MINIs at this event!

Location: Jimmy Jacks Rib Shack
Time: 2:00pm

Please RSVP Via the NAM Calendar Event Entry

No drive currently involved in this event just a nice get together, but if there is interests we can always tour downtown Iowa City in a MINI parade ;)

Thanks for the leg work on this Rob. I've "stickied" the thread and updated the NAM calendar entry. I'll also send out an email to those who already RSVP'ed so they're aware of the change.

Edit: Also updated the '09 planning calendar accordingly.

Just checking to see if the time might be typed in wrong. The stated time would be too late for lunch and too early for dinner. Just wondered if there might be an error?

I think it was intended at 2:00 PM to avoid there rush hours

I believe you're correct. The late lunch time is no big deal for me personally -- I figure I'll just eat a late breakfast that day. Plus, if I commit to skipping supper, I'll have the green light to pig out royally on quality BBQ without guilt.

We finally have a week-end with no conflicts to do a little motoring. We are hoping to see you all there Saturday afternoon. Steve and Bobbi and Cool Blue.

Sorry to everyone that I missed the event today I am tending to a very sick dog.

Hoover has been diagnosed with renal failure and may have a limited time left with us...

I hope all was good at Jimmy Jacks!!

Very sorry to hear about Hoover! I'm glad you had a chance to take the dogs with you to the cabin in the Black Hills. I hope you'll get comfort knowing Hoover couldn't be with better people.

Hey gang, had a great time today!

Here are the "keepers" from today's batch of my pics:

Lots of "Thank Yous" to hand out...

...to Rob, for setting up the meet (great venue, and worked out much better than Sonic would have with the passing shower)

...to Daryl, for the prints from HPM (even that one ) and for sharing all of the wonderful Happy Mini 50th Birthday Union Jacks with everyone. Very cool!

...to Gary S, for donating the nifty MINI bulldog signs to the cause

...to Tom from Ames -- glad you were able to join us

...and to everyone who came out. It was fun seeing everyone and their MINIs. Enjoyed checking out those new Clubbies!
