Anyone interested in a stand alone ECU for a big turbo upgrade?

tested the new ECU today
runs the stock throttle body and is fully calibrated now
accepts tuning changes while it runs. Will be able to run alternate maps for methanol and nitrous. Has two step and the all of the features you need.
We will be going through the canbus now to turn off the check engine light. This may take some time but the ecu is operational now.
I will be running this on the TVS for now to see what it can do.

I will be testing one on a R56 once the TVS is finished in the next couple of weeks. It went very well and quite easy to calibrate the throttle body.
I think there are nice gains to be made on the R56 with the ecu and methanol. Once I get control of this then we will move to the bigger turbo kit

Well, I'm not really in the market for a stand-alone, but I have had them in the past and if I were building a big turbo mini or race mini, this is what I'd be looking for.
1. REAL TIME TUNING - The ability to adjust the tune with the car running and see/feel changes immediately
2. Ability to support Speed Density & MAF based vehicles
3. Wideband support (preferably with the Bosch wideband and not the $200 NGK unit (though it's more accurate)
4. As granular ignition / fuel mapping as possible (50 RPM increments minimum)
5. Ability to control low impedance injectors.
6. Wideband "closed loop" support (not a high priority but kinda cool to have)
7. Support for multiple maps (preferably stored on-board)
Obviously this is a "wish" list and I know few stand-alones cover all of this... the MAF / Speed Density thing is usually built into the system, and of the two I'd pick Speed Density as MAF values takes alot of testing to get perfect, though it is better for "fine tuning".
If I ever thrash my mini and decide it is now my track only car, then I would be in the market for this, but at this time it's unlikely. Just thought I'd throw out there the things I'd like to see in a Stand-alone. (oh and I would have mentioned pre-wired harness, but it seems you're taking care of that)

first off, there is much to be done on this to do it right
we are NOT going to just slap a big turbo on the car and call it done (not saying this is what ANYONE is doing ) There are many issues involved with the stock ecu and massive changes in volumetric efficiency. When its ready it will be released

I dont think that Alta is providing a stand-alone, they are providing a "tune". Huge difference. Rev is offering a stand-alone so users can tune to whatever setup they put on the car (assuming you have a clue what you are doing). Alta will probably have to create tunes that are acceptable to most everyone, so custom tunes will be tough to come by.

Okay, I would be interested in a bigger turbo and stand alone ecu for my factory JCW. I am mainly looking for more power but not sure that I would be able to use this stand alone system, since I do not have experience tuning cars, this could be more than what I need??
Also, how negatively does this increase in turbo size and HP effect the overall MPG? Have you noticed your test car has been losing much of it's full gas tank range when compared to stock? (I am assuming your test car also had a stock turbo, that was smaller?)

What's the update? Anything good yet?
Probably a stupid question but if you hook the factory ecu (in my case, stage I JCW tune), can you still drive the car with the factory ecu and bigger turbo or will it get all sorts of CEL's.
