What happens when the FPR vacuum line comes off?
While driving around yesterday I saw my boost guage drop to 0psi and would not move.
I pulled over to discover the line going to the FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator) had blown off, the factory boost guage is spliced in between here. I drove the short >1mile back to my house and zip tied the hose tight on the regulator. I was just curious if anyone knew what effect a disconnected FPR would have? I didnt see any check engine lights or feel any negative effects but not to say the thing wasnt running lean as could be either. |
I lost this line once, and the car went into limp mode (scarily, in traffic). It restarted but with the SES light on. I eventually discovered it, but it was intermittent until found. I don't think it -hurt- the car meanwhile.

Cooll, I kinda thought that was the case, just wanted to know what it would do just for knowledge sake.
