Those guages look really sharp. Do you also have the pulley upgrade, because that is a pretty solid amount of boost. Where did you get them? And how much did they set you back, if you don't mind me asking?

Christian

BTW 1 Bar is 14.7 psi (from all us MECH. E's at Bucknell)

yes i hv the pulley & ecu & intake & exhaust....hoping to get more boost when it's nice & cold outside....1 bar was recorded at 28 degrees celcius & super humid weather.

2 gauges + control unit is about US500 installed.

here's the link:

1 bar is 14.7 PSI and is equal to 1 atmoshpere.

Very nice SMG!

cligget beat me to it - 1 bar is the standard atmosphere, 29.92" of mercury or 14.7 psi. cligget, WELCOME to MCO .

There have been several folks that have recorded higher than 15 psi - what's the altitude of Hong Kong? That directly effects the boost, the higher you go, the less boost. That 28C is probably the reason you aren't seeing higher boost than that.

The highest boost I've seen is 17psi at sea level. All you need to change the boost is the pulley.

Have you had a chance to get your car on a dyno yet? I am very curious to see how it compares to mine, as we have similar mods.

Randy

my supersprint header is on its way.....should be here in 2 weeks...not sure if i should do it now or wait for the header to come...the dyno charge is quite expensive here....us200 bux each......sigh.....will let u be the first one to know the results......

are you helping me to claim ggr uk for the fake numbers that they claimed??

is 14.7psi normal for a pulley'd & chip'ed car???

I would go ahead and wait for the header.

As far as the claim goes, it isn't an easy battle. The tuners all seem to be doing it, and without specifying the conditions of the dyno runs, they can get away with it. Let's say they used a cold car, during a cold day without a density correction, and a 17% driveline loss. Those numbers become totally reasonable (albeit inaccurate).

14.7 psi is right on for that temperature. The higher in altitude or temperature or both you go, the less boost you will be able to produce.

Can't wait for the numbers! I can't believe the cost of your dyno time!!!

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Randy

Those are the best gauges I have seen yet! I love the blackout look! I think I might get a set after I do the major mods.
