I'm just wondering, I know they specialize in Japanese products, but some do european too.

caddman 03-29-2003 05:42 PM

good question, i like my magnaflow though!!!

Azzurri 03-29-2003 06:23 PM

Also Headers,Intake and what else.

RandyBMC 03-29-2003 07:32 PM

There are some pretty big names in the exhaust world for the MINI, but most of the Japanese tuners haven't gotten too involved with the MINI.

Magnaflow, Borla, UUC, Supersprint and others have developed systems for the MINI, and others are on the way.

Use the search function and you can find a ton of information on what's out there.

Feel free to contact me if you have any othre questions. I'm always happy to talk MINI!

Nobull, if that's an issue for anyone, they can feel free to e-mail me their phone number, and I'll return their call.

That is still cheaper than a toll free - unless you were volunteering funds

Nobull60 03-29-2003 09:16 PM

Well that sounds like an idea....looking for a business partner?? I need a pulley and can't find anyone here that can do it in less that 9 hours. To much labor cost for a $200.00 part.

ya but the exhausts out now r sooooooooo expensive!!

the exhausts for the rice rockets (even though i dont like them) r only 150-400, being 400 dollars at the most!

'*Ace*' 03-30-2003 12:21 AM

If the Japanese comapnies got into the MINI, then I have a feeling we would see a boat load of new stuff comming out. Probaby for a helluva a lot cheaper too.

rfibanez 03-31-2003 12:13 AM

If greddy came out with an exhaust for the cooper I'd get one. My cousin has a greddy system on his honda accord and it sounds and looks so nice, but my magnaflow does too

rfibanez 03-31-2003 12:18 AM

Oh and his greddy system cost about $500 so it was about the same price as the magnaflow (for the non S). Yeah theres lots of cheap priced parts for Japanese cars but theyre also cheap quality and materials. Some of the good japanese parts like greddy, tanabe and especially mugen parts can be pretty pricey. you get what you pay for

RCristiano 03-31-2003 12:28 AM

I think the Japanese are afraid to let the MINI into the tuner scene for fear of being reamed on the track.

'*Ace*' 03-31-2003 12:32 AM

If they had a MINI, wouldn't they be reaming themselves off the track??? Think about it...

Moorlockx 03-31-2003 12:41 PM

I refused to buy a Japanese car. Why would I want to put Japanese aftermarket parts on it?

'*Ace*' 03-31-2003 12:45 PM

Because the CAN be good...

dave 03-31-2003 12:50 PM

Ok, I've seen this comment about the cost of the aftermarket parts for the MINI a few times now from both CooperSpeed and H20. All I can say guys is start saving. Because the market has been established now, and the prices aren't going to be coming down anytime soon.

Remember: this is the same car a good number people are going to dump $4500 + labor into for the John Cooper Works package.

It's time to suck it up.

I think Japanese cars are the best. I've had to take my Mini in 4 times already because its had so many problems. Oh and I've had it since January 29th 2003

Moonshine 04-02-2003 11:53 PM

Ive a stainless cat back HKS super drager exhaust for my cooper - sounds awesome - much throatier and souder than the stock and even playmini.
finish is excellent and it is not too big on the exit (i think 3.5") it crackles and pops on the over run in 1st and second....cool!:D

'*Ace*' 04-03-2003 06:10 AM

Nice Moonshine, I wonder how hard it would be to retrofit something like that on an S...Anyone know?

I've had 0 problems (knock on wood) unless you count the road debris scratching my pain... grr.... I guess I'll just have to pick up some touch up paint.
