I am planning on getting a 17% reduction pulley, I was also thinking of going ahead and having a 2% crank pulley put on since they will be working in that area anyway. So I was wondering if those who have done this combination needed any other mods other than the colder spark plugs. I don't want to spend the money on larger injectors and an ECU map, at least not right now (baby steps)

I'm assuming that since you're moving up into 19% pulley territory, you should also be using injectors and a new ECU map. That's just conjecture, but it seems logical to me.

That said, plenty of people are just running a 19% by itself. You just won't gain as much from it.

So it seems that the injectors and ECU flash give it that extra oomph. Me thinks i'll just go with the lightened stock diameter crank pulley and get the Helix SC pulley so that I can swap it out with a 19% if I ever choose to. Ahhhh my little money pit

I have the Helix 17%, ECU remap (MTH Tuner File), Denso Iridium cold plugs & K&N Typhoon. Each time I add a hardware piece I get a new file uploaded. It really helps deliver a much smoother power response + few extra ponies. I've thought about adding the 2% crank pulley but only if I'm going with the larger injectors. If I was you I'd go with the 15% and the 2% and hold off on the 17 or 19 until you're ready to do the remap and the larger injectors. I've gotta get other mods first. Let us know how it goes.
