Out of curiosity, will hitting the back of the valve improve performance in our Minis by combusting the fuel more completely? I ask because the stock injectors appear to atomize the fuel more compared to the Helix injectors - if the engineers optimized the fuel injectors for an atomized spray pattern, will going with a spray pattern that hits the back of the valve help increase mileage and performance?

I confess I don't know much about fuel delivery systems, so please bear with me. I will be purchasing larger injectors to solve the pre-ignition pinging problem I have, and I am eager to learn more about the Helix injectors as compared to stock.

My prime motivation is to increase useful (daily driving) power without sacrificing fuel mileage.

Cheers,
Do the exhaust first.
I doubt the injectors will do much to improve daily drivng. And yes, to optimize the injectors a new map would be the right way to go.
