is the 'feel' u guys talk about as pronounced as the yo-yo or more?
what kinda sound or feelin' out of the motor mounts will u get, is it a knockin' feel/noise or jerkiness

Its more of a jerky feeling......The engine is very responsive when you do the VGS or rhyphile mod which makes the mount feel like theres alot of play.

How does the VGS change with a properly adjusted bypace valve. Do you recommend upgrading to the stiffer spring? And are there new moter mounts that should be installed to reduce the vibrations of the engine?

Well right off the bat, the motor mounts suck to begin with.....This mod just amplifies how sloppy they are. As for the spring, i have nooo clue....

Andy would know more.

i have seen a lot of bypass valves come across my desk and installed a few for customers. each one is just a bit different. i have had some cars come in that the opening is enough to stick a small screw drive though, this is on more of the early 02/03 cars. and some that are not all that bad, but could use some light adjustment. all the valves i see need at least a 1/2 turn of the set screw for proper closing. some times more. the new valves have some really hard core thread locker on them and i have broke a few set screws on them. so i now heat them up just a bit to get it out. i get asked a lot if i think someone's car needs one. and that is always hard for me to say as the answer could always be yes to sell parts, but the truth is not ever car needs one. cars that have more mods and you are looking for every bit of power and you want some throttle response out of the car need one for sure. but if it's just a driver and you do not feel any Yo-Yo then you may not need one. i have a customer in the Detroit area that had an intake, borla catback, and 15% pulley and the car so not fast at all. so i took off his by pass valve ans it was really bad. that could just not make boost. after the fix things worked much better. that car now has power and more fun to drive. so i tell a lot of people that are really unsure is talk to some friends with minis. drive there car. let them drive your car. see how they feel with what mods they have and it will tell you some what what your BPV will look like with out taking it off. but the only true way to know what yours looks like is to remove it. if you go here you can down load the instructions from the first post to see how it is done. since you getting a new car. drive it for a while and see how it is. i still recommend driving the car for about 1000 miles bore doing anything to it. that way anything that may come up can be changed out under warranty with out any problems from the dealer. even though the BPV is totally stock looking from the outside, our local deal refused to work on a car because it had different spark plugs in it. so i hope that helps. if you need any more info on them give me a call and i would be happy to talk to anyone.

what about moter mounts? Any recommendations? If I decide on dropping in th 15% pulley and the motor needs to be lifted anyways I'm guessing it wouldn't be that hard to install a new good set. Does energy make any?

I havent seen anything good for the 05-06 upper mount on the right side. they have urethane inserts for the lower mounts an im not sure about the tranny one.

there is a add on shock style mount with heim joints for adjustability that attaches to the upper mount and frame but i havent heard anything good about it.
