Batmini Baseline Dyno Results

Didn't want to steal any thunder from MDSBrian's Dyno thread, but I also went to the ECE Dyno Day yesterday in Sterling VA. Mostly because I wanted to get the Batmini dyno'd before I undertake any major changes.

The only thing I have installed atm which would affect the powertrain, is an Alta Cold Air Intake, and thats it. I have the intercooler air diverter, but havn't installed it yet. Also, on the third run, MDSBrain put a fan on top of the intercooler to see if it helped, but it didn't appear to. Most of us figured it would, but the IC was cool enough to touch after the second run, so who knows.

Anyhow, if you'll notice at the bottom of the dyno results, the order of the results is 1, 3, 2. The second run was 'best', and then it sorted the runs in HP order. Odd, but oh well.

I plan on putting a header/exhaust on next, but havn't decided on which. Waiting on Alta & Randy to finish dev on their current products before making my final decision... And then maybe some software... Still apprehensive about pulley vs. warantee, so I'll likely put on the pulley as my last mod.

And with that, enjoy, and feel free to comment/flame/giggle.

Spec:
2005 MCS w/ 8000 miles, 6 spd Getrag, Alta CAI...
Stock software, exhaust, header, ic, pulley...

Hehe... Dunno about that, or if it affected the results at all.

that's a nice graph..
Did you ask them about the A/F graph?
Your car must have been strong out of the factory.
The more I think about it, I'm starting to get jealous.

I was thinking yesterday... when I picked up my car from Tate Mini, my SA told me the fix for the supercharger bypass valve was actually an unintended improvement...

He said they grinded down and reshaped the valve, so that it wouldn't get stuck on the nearby components that it was getting stuck on... And that this new design combined with the lightening of shaving off some of the un-needed portion, would possibly result in HP gain.

Seeing the Detroit Tuned Bypass Valve thread, I'm wondering if there may have been significant gains because of the fix/mod. He also commented that my Mini seemed a bit quicker than the other S's. Hrrmmmm....
