For some of you this may be a little too late...

Avoid the "BIG A** Sun Roof" (as it is called on WRR) when ordering!

While we are at it. Get rid of the MFSW and OBC And get rid of that silly Super charger and Inter cooler. Ditch the big aftermarket brakes and rotors. Switch to 7 holies.

Hey, options were asked for. Everything I mentioned will indeed cut down on weight, but aren't that unreasonable...

I agree - I think DrDiff was just joking around. I ordered my MINI with only the MFSW, H/K, OBC, Anthracite Headliner and LSD.

No moonroof, no heated seats, no fogs, no DSC. I think it's light as MCSs go.

One other way to lighten the car is via lighter front seats - I think this is close to 50 lbs.

Can you even order an MCS with the 15's? The stealership told me it was "not advised"

You can't order an MCS with 15s, but people put them on. It doesn't hurt anything - it's cheaper than other sizes!

How about the obvious stuff.

All extra interior seating & paneling. Ditch all stereo gear.

I think a big weight savings is to make sure the guy driving isn't too over weight. I see huge guy at the autocross talking about their light weight seats or or how removing their rear seats saved 48lb when they could stand to loss 100lbs. I'm not making fun I just think it is crazy to spend big money on a light weight mods and not take a look at what's mounted in the seat.

That would buy a lot of Mods. And you hardly ever use the left one.

Why not ditch the Mini and get an Ariel Atom 2 instead

300 supercharged hp's in a less than 500kg car or something that resembles a car. A friend of mine is getting one this month.. will have a few pics or video if I can host it on here.

Seriously, the back seats, back seat seat-belts, and the side airbags. Then add a rollcage like I have lying around waiting for my current project to finish.
Lighter front seats and brackets like someone mentioned earlier would be great.
By this time you would have thrown the weight more to the front end and your car would turned into a dragster ...
Or maybe you could get a light bonnet which was mentioned earlier aswell. A few light control arms and make a custom front arm out of carbon fibre (they have those for Honda's).

One question.. are you a millionaire? Carbon everything would be nice.. Ceramic brakes to cut weight. Titanium lugnuts and magnesium wheels. Lighter engine internals.. made of titanium when possible.. but with money everthing is possible

Need anymore advice I'll be waiting over there in the corner.
