Drivetrain Exhaust sound?

Nice color choice, yellowdesmo- my PS/B MC is waiting at Port Hueneme right now, soon to end up at Rasumussen MINI in Portland. I'm having the Remus exhaust put on. Gabriel on the Bridger website wrote a very favorable review of this system, and specifically mentioned that it didn't call attention to itself as an "aftermarket" system:
"After installation the first thing I noticed was the change in pitch at idle. It's a sublte low rumble that generally sounds quite pleasing.
The sound while acclerating is fanstastic. Again it's a bit lower with a deep throaty sound to it. One other thing worth noting, while on the highway the change in sound doesn't penetrate the cabin anymore than the stock set-up.
The manufacturer claims a 5-7% increase in power from the system. Honestly I haven't driven the car enough to acurately describe the power Increase, however, I believe I can feel a hint of power added at the low-end through the mid-range.
Overall it's a fantastic upgrade for several reasons. First off the sound is a fantastic deep tone that at the same time is fairly subtle and doesn't shout to the world that "I've just put on an aftermarket exhaust". Secondly, being made from stainless gives this exhaust longevity that far supasses the stock set-up. And finally, if the manufacturers numbers are to be believed, a 5-7% increase in power is always welcome. Especially wih 115hp on tap."
Another reason I'm going for this system is that it will be covered for the life of the full car warranty, since the dealership is putting it on before I take delivery. I'll let you know what I think once I've had a chance to get a listen. It won't be long now

I've had my remus (single) exhaust now since october. (2003 indie blue cooper delivered 10.31.02 - dealer installed at my request. - Rassmussen, by the way!) It has a very subtle deep tone at idle that has become a little more pronounced s the miles add up. (3957 as of this morning). It is not obnoxious or rude under accelleration, it just lets you know that there is a little something different going on - more muscular. It is not obtrusive at speed on the freeway. The car feels peppier, but that could just be my imagination.
