2015 F56S Starting Issues

On occasion I will go out to my car in the morning, press the start button, and the car will just try and turn over but will not start. I will press the start button again to stop the car from trying to start, then press one more time to start again and it will start right up. I took it over to the dealership, who checked everything and said no problems, but the issue continues to happen. It is not really a big issue, because the car always starts up on the second try and only happens on occasion, but I want to figure out what the problem is, starter going bad or fuel pump going bad?? I have the following modifications: It started life as a 2015 F56S, JCW tuning kit added, Dinan Elite added, and NM Intake.

Did you check the battery level? You are getting close to 3yrs and that is usually the life of the battery

Battery test for sure, I would assume dealer tested it but you never know. Disconnect the Elite and keep it that way for however long it takes to prove if it is responsible, also check connections to make sure all is tight at Elite and battery, etc. Beyond that it is almost a wait until it fails situation.

As to battery life, 3 years life is probably for those cold MN winters or hot southern summers. Don't know where you are at but our Countryman battery just gave out after 7 years. Never had an OEM battery last only 3 years.
