Airtech IC vs. Forge IC

I've recently ordered the Forge Intercooler, but having second thoughts after discovering the Airtech. Does anyone have experience with these products who can provide some insight for me?

I've been told the Airtech will keep cooler temps. But are they all the same?

Links:
Airtech - https://www.airtecmotorsport.com/pro...-cooper-s-f56/
Forge - https://www.ecstuning.com/b-forge-pa...fmintmf56~frg/

I will be upgrading to the stage 2 potentially 3 if it is doable.

I've ordered the SuperTech forged internal parts to reinforce the engine to handle the added power. I've already added the Forge Hard Boost pipes as well as the Forge High Flow Intake Hard pipe.

thanks in advance for your help.

I have the Wagner intercooler similar to the Forge. Fit and fitment is perfect and performs very well. You get what you pay for and the big names like Forge and Wagner are proven. Also just to make sure you understand, the benefit of an intercooler is not increasing power. It doesn't add much if any. What it helps is to maintain the power you already make when outside air temp starts to rise and the engine starts to heat soak.

Thanks Andrew! The AirTech has been data logged against the Wagner and it has proven to keep temps cooler longer. I was curious if anyone has data logged the Forge IC and the numbers. I agree with you, regarding you get what you pay for when it comes to performance. I just want to ensure I do my due diligence when it comes to making the best decision for the car. I have a history of making emotional purchases and want to avoid that moving forward.

I've installed each of the brands, but have really liked the Forge as it always fit like a glove and when watching the temps we would see an average of 5 deg less than the stock IC at cruise, but could feel the gains as it recovered so much faster than the stock. Heck putting another on next week so you have no worries with the Forge.

I'll try and get a picture of the data log or see if they have posted it anywhere.

I personally love my AirTech but I had a Forge on my R56 and have nothing but positive things to say about them as well. I choose the AirTech this time around because they had the most surface area when it came to JCWs (and was also on sale). Not sure if this will apply to the S models but on the JCW you had to drill out some rivets and do slight modifications to make it fit properly.

I have seen many comments on here and another forum of people saying light load and cruise IAT's on the airtec are much worse compared to stock. I have not found logs from any brand other than Wagner. Wagner also publishes data logs of pressure drop.
