Stage 1 tune comparisons? (Manic vs Way vs ?)

Hi all.
I have about 85K miles on my 2010 MCS (auto trans) and am considering a tune for a bit more power. I got the car at 53K miles, about 70K I (had Madness) replace the turbo, oil lines and cooler/filter gaskets. The car doesn't seem to have any issues at the moment. However, It has consumed about 3/4 quart of oil every 1K miles. (not leaking, no smoke). Is this too "old" to get a tune...it's my DD and 80 miles/day most all freeway in SoCal.

I see that Way Motorworks, Manic Motorsports, and may others do ECU tunes. I couldn't find any comparisons and not much on the Way tune.

Just wondering.

Thanks.

Call Mario and you'll be taken care of. I bought mine at 98k miles stock with all sorts of problems, leaks, bad electrical wires, missing screws here and there, including missing a bolt in the thermostat housing. After I get all issues identified and properly put together I also started modding. So far so good. Target is to hit 220-240 whp and call it done.

On my 08 I had an accessport on it until 125k miles. If you haven't replaced the valve cover, it will likely be part of the problem with oil consumption. The valve cover has multiple check valves in it, and the design has evolved over time to help reduce the oil consumption.

I have a manic tune from Way on my 13 and like it. It isn't perfect, but its definately better than stock.

Have fun,
Mike

Just rolled 10k since having done catless DP, plugs and stage2 RPM remap. Its pretty fun embarrassing much more expensive cars. Should have seen the look on this Lexus IS250 F-sport owners face when I ran away from him at ~70mph in 3rd. Such good fun handing out fresh gapperoni's.
