Simple resonator delete?
I know I want more volume from my JCW's exhaust, but I'm definitely not gonna spend the money for a catback or axle-back system. I'd thought of going to a local shop for a new muffler, like a Magnaflow, but a friend suggested I just have the resonator removed.
Has anyone done this (resonator-only delete) or have feedback on the results? |
Resonator is there to clean up the noise. In my opinion it will sound sloppy without it. But haven’t heard one yet. I recommend removing the CAT. Will get a deeper sound, performance gains, and lots of bangs! My personal exhaust is straight from the turbo back. No cats. No muffler. But 2 resonators. |

I did it before I got my Remus exhaust. I had the JCW exhaust and I hated it with the resonator out. It sounded like a riced out Honda around the 4-5K mark. Like embarrassingly loud. When I shut the valve, it sounded even worse
