Venting boost at WOT

Good morning, i'm having an issue with my setup which is as follows:

- JMTC 47mm turbo
- Alta IC
- Catless DP with 3" exhaust
- Manic stage 3
- Forge BOV
- 1 step colder plugs
- Blocked PCV as per Tiger venting to atmposphere

Overall performance feels good when im not getting on it hard say 1/2 to 3/4 throttle, but when I go fully WOT the BOV starts to vent boost randomly in short bursts affecting the performance. One other detail is that my CEL is on and it is a catalyst emission code my manic tuner is checking that issue next week but I dont think it has something to do with what is happening. Any ideas?

With Forge BOV, there are different springs for different boost pressures. Sounds like you have the softest spring installed... You should have at least the Yellow spring installed.

https://www.forgemotorsport.com/Valv...duct--826.html

Valve Spring color coding:
Green - 5-15 PSI
Yellow - 15-23 PSI
Blue - 23-30 PSI
Red - 30 + PSI.

I actually installed the Blue spring that came with the kit, do you think it might be a little overkill and go back to yellow? Im not pushing more than 23 psi...

The Forge does still use the factory valve controller... Maybe the ECU pressure controls are pulling the valve?

Im more inclined towards the ECU messing with the bov for some reason, the current spring operates ok, it always vents when I let off even at 1/4 throttle..

I went to a bigger turbo and might be having the same issue. Any chance it sounds like this when its dumping boost?

so I’ve been fighting this problem
for long time my self,
i even ordered a 30psi spring from forge still didnt Work.
Little back ground on my mini
12:25.1 compression
forge bottom end
high flow head
cat cams
47mm turbo
running 13psi
93 oct with meth
I’ve tryed the forge upgrade DV .
the problem I got with that
I was spooling the turbo backwords in higher boost .
Sound like a rally car with no blow off or dv
So my next plan is to get turbo smart bock off plate
an run a blow off valve over by the throttle somewhere
