Glad you are enjoying yourself.
Remember you always still have the choice of driving like a normal person however the temptation to venture up into the 4500 to 6500 rpm range can be intoxicating.

Now you have "power" plus you can be an economy car if you like:sad:

If you want to be "noisy" add an alta intake/hose and free flowing cat back exhaust-
Borla Race or UUC and standback.:eek2:

Can someone explain what 19% means? And what the difference between 19% and 15%? Is it the percentage smaller than stock?

Thank guys

Exactly.

Max RPM w/19%?

jLM,

what would be the maximum engine RPM for the 19%?

d6-mcs 10-24-2004 02:57 AM

they say that if you do a lot of auto cross and high reving all the time for long period of time you should have the 15%, if you are a guy like me and has a heavy foot and never keep the revs high for long period of time then run the 19% max they say is 7k other wise you will damage to charger.

by the way i am running a madness intake and the borla sport exhaust. love how fast my mini is now. i pulled a vette on the freeway today could believe it and the guy driving the vette. and the fact that how much torque there is now. spin tire easy in 1st and part 2nd. best bang for the buck ill say.

Madness 15% and 19% Pulleys
By changing to a 15% smaller pulley than stock on an otherwise stock motor, independent dynos have shown increases of 15-20 horsepower and equal amounts of torque. Since the smaller pulley causes the supercharger to spin faster, more boost is created. More boost=bigger grin! Stock engines will see 3-4 pounds of extra boost, whereas cars with modified intake or exhaust will see higher gains. Stateside tuners as well as John Cooper Works have extensively tested the 15% reduction. The 15% pulley is ideal for street and track use.

By changing to a 19% reduction pulley the boost kicks in 750rpm sooner than the 15% pulley, ideal for street driving condition's ONLY! Not recommended for track use or long high revving situation's typically seen on the racetrack! Sustained 6000-7600rpm generates more heat reducing the 19% pullies effectiveness.

there that will tell you better.

The extra low end of the 19% sounds like what I am looking for. I am concerned about reliability etc. what has been your experience?

spider...

he just posted a post the other day about lost boost problem
he could have bad boots on the intercooler.... I had that problem when going to the turbo. We made some custom boots and has worked flawlessly since
