big hp new developments?

is RMW the only company making new products on the r53? He's got a turbo kit coming out and the new tvs 900 I'm sure he'll have a high hp version of that too

A buddy is going turbo later this year. No headwork required and the price is very reasonable for a projected 300 whp.

I don't think you will get 300 hp with just a turbo and a few other minor items.

From what I am hearing 300 is quite doable. Not saying all you do is drop a turbo into the car.

300 is doable with Head work, but very difficult if not impossible without.
The Heads on our engines are the real bottle neck point for making power.
But good luck with him trying, nothing wrong with giving it a shot.

the stock ecu/sensor is limited to like 19.5 psi isn't it? That's what really restricts power without head work

to get around that, stand alone setup $$$$ I would love to have the same hp/weight ratio as an e46 M3 without spending E46 M3 money but ehh I dont see it happening

Go over and check out Minitorque if you haven't. The Europeans are way ahead of us on this front considering there are quite a few who have been doing the turbo conversions for years. The guy who was helping with R&D on the TVS also has a build thread where he shows and it there are a few over there discussing it.

In short, most on the US forums seem to make a huge thing of it when they're doing it on a pretty regular basis across the pond.

not terribly interested in a turbo, but the RMW tvs front mount is interesting, as I said in the first post rmw is the only place I'm aware of doing anything

1320? I'm not interested in a 25,000 $ turbo, not at all

72,
I keep missing meeting you. Did you go to Hyperfest? I saw a R53, and hung out in hopes of meeting the driver, but he never showed and it was too damn hot to wait in the sun!

only reason these are solo only is they dont have any instructors, bikes are on the track too it's split bikes/cars

brave guys on bikes I would not be out there after cars, too much of a risk of oil/antifreeze
