Need to spend your tax refunds wisely? Check out the sale we are having on the FlashAccess kit for your F56 MINI. ONLY $495 for the flash* (or $650 for the flash with the OBD2 Module).
*Note: If you choose the flash-only option, you will need to come to our shop physically or mail in your ECU to us. On the later model 2018 and 2019 F56, ECU mail-in is required to 'unlock' the ECU for OBD2 flashing.
I assume this will work for my 2015 F55S? How long is the sale going to last?
Customers who have purchased the OBD2 FlashAccess Module is entitled to One-Customized adjustment. In order to take advantage of this service, we need you to provide a data log (using OBD2 logger such as OBD Fusion) with the following parameters after you have flashed the tune into your ECU:
Engine Speed
Absolute Load
Boost Pressure
Commanded AFR
Actual AFR
Ignition timing
Intake air temp
Engine temp
Cat/Exhaust Temp
Throttle position
Pedal position
Our tuner will examine the logs and send a customized tune file back to you.
Is the OBD2 flash tuner compatible with the 2019’s yet?
The 2018 and 2019 model vehicles need to have their ECU's bench programmed for OBD2 flashing. If you try to flash it straight from the OBD2 port, there's a high probability of "bricking" the ECU. Once it's brick, then it becomes a PITA to get it recovered...

This is an issue I also ran into when working with BT. They are awesome in working with you to get everything sorted.
We are very pleased with the results of the latest Stage-2 tune in near 100 degree (F) weather... power comes on fast and the torque stays really flat.. This MINI will hurt some feelings here in Texas
2014-S Manual with Airtec, Catless DP and Exhaust + Bytetronik Stage-2 Tune
Just completed another Stage-2 upgrade on an S-Auto on 93 Octane. Customer requested a more linear torque curve (Lower Torque Tune) and we delivered on demand with this custom dyno tune. Max PSI is between 17 ~ 18 PSI.
What issues are you having right now? Do you have a tune or piggyback on the car currently?
Thanks for the reply... It is currently stock. I ask because many tunes for other makes (VW, Subaru) are able to dial out the rev hang between shifts, and I'm looking for an ecu flash that reduces the factory hang, so the revs drop normally.
I missed the Black Friday sale and was hoping for an Xmas sale or New Years sale for the 20% off. I’m looking to ditch my piggyback and get a stage 2 since I just ordered new fmic and Mario’s dp.

Which IC did you end up going w/?
I've been thinking about doing the same but not sure which direction to head...

Airtec is the best 'bang for the buck' IMHO.

I had finished my B48 motor conversion into a B46 platform. two days ago, I drove it to ByteTronik's shop to get a stage 2 tune. It's a blast! This is to be my wife's car and she has no idea what's in the cage for her when she officially starts driving it.
I just downloaded my tune file this morning from Bytetronik.
Have to finish putting a lift kit on my wife’s Jeep this weekend, but the weekend after.............😁
Another fast F56 in Texas Please note, the base run was done with the parts already installed on the vehicle, thus it's showing 202WHP/226 WTQE. Car gained 43WHP and 43WTQE with the tune only. Datalogged the car on the dyno and all values looked good.
FYI: Stock F56 S-Auto typically puts down 170-180 WHP on our MD Dyno.
The dyno is for the F56 I built after swapping out for a younger engine, this is to be my wife's car. I'm chiming in a week after the tune/dyno to report the following observations:
1) The response of this car has much improved. My wife says she barely taps the gas pedal and it just wants to go and go.
2) The acceleration is very linear and smooth. My experience in the past with tunes on a turbo-charged car usually ended up with a very abrupt and punchy feel on the gas pedal, but this tune is very different and not what I expected. The way it accelerates is very satisfying, there's a sense of sophistication to it. It's very strong all the way through the power band, but none of it comes on chaotically harsh, it'll pin me to the seat, but just very linearly smooth in doing so. My wife is very sensitive to the g-force when I drive my tuned BMW 3-series 328i (E90 with N52 motor). It aggravates her, but this car has more power than my BMW, with a more linear softer landing feel to that power delivery. She very much enjoys how it feels going fast.
3) I have factory run-flat tires with about 50% life left, and before the tune I can peel out of first gear, a little bit of second gear from the stop. With this tune in place, second gear peel out and third gear peel/chirp are apparent if I floor it. Traction control limits the peel, but barely.
4) Going on highways it smoothly gets up to 110 mph before I realize I was going too fast. Passing other vehicles from a 80 mph roll is a breeze, too. Didn't even need to drop a gear, it just adjusts.
5) Lastly, we put on sport mode very seldom, but when we do, it has a very strong pull with lots of inertia to over come. I realize from this point that I'll next need to upgrade the brakes for this car. That caliper and rotor is just too small, stopping the car is very difficult during spirited sport mode driving. The hydraulics in the brake system feels very spongy only after 15 minutes up the hill country roads in Austin.
Overall, this is the best tune I've experienced so far, just needing to give Bytetronik a shout-out that they deserve.

After flashing the ECU are the green/drive/sport modes still available? (gen 3 f56)
I use green mode alot, go ahead flame me for it, as I do alot of stop and start driving. My city does not have freeways! It's one stop light to another and I'll do 40 to 90 miles a day like that😖
Just curious if flashing eliminates these options.
