my findings when I went from K&N typhoon to ECS CF was HP about the same but torque gained about 5 pounds. This is open K&N compared to boxed ECS .

But the main reason was my IAT when stuck at light stay about 20F cooler than when it was open element sucking hot air.

And it really does look nice too.

Thanks for the info. Was that before you had your FMIC?

Yes, with plenty of room to spare.

As soon as I get home from a business trip tomorrow, I'll snap some shots and post them.

Thanks! Got my Challenge splitter from you and there are so many things that you can't see - many from ECS!

Yeah, I can get my MINI up to some higher than city speeds out in west Texas, sometimes even not too far west of my home. Even with the Challenge splitter it gets a little loose at about 120. I took it out after adding a splitter I had laying around from my R53 and it is rock solid at even 140 now. That is actually my second Challenge splitter from you guys. My first was destroyed by a flying piece of truck tire tread about a month or so after I installed it! It hit it dead center and knocked it loose and shattered the center section where the two pieces join. Hopefully that was a freak incident but is just one of the numerous road hazards I deal with down in South Texas.

GP Brembos are from you guys as well.

I have one, flawlessly built, perfect fit. Slightly more growl than the stock intake, and a bit of under-hood bling.

GOD that intake is so freaking beautiful. I was gonna grab one when I was on the search but ended up going with the CTS Turbo one because of $$$. My only gripe about the CTS one is there were no instructions and no resistors for the sensors that get removed on the N18
