I do not think the DV is a gov't black listed item like so many parts here in CA.
The dealer should have no issue with it really but we know they can be difficult just for difficulties sake.

Guys I didn't read this whole thing and this thread is old, but has anyone run a dv+ with a forge blow off adapter? Any reason it wouldn't work/fit other than needing longer bolts?

Thanks,
Roby!

Thanks,

That's how I have mine installed. Like you say you'll need longer bolts. My car is a Euro auto model without MAF so no code's.

Just a tight fit for the bolt next to the turbo water feed pipe.

I ran that and had 1/2 power CEL lights all the time
Removed it and;no more issue
I have read several people have success and others, like me did not.

Well if you have a manual transmission, you're kinda forced into the Alta. Quite frankly, if it came down to Alta or running factory, I'd run factory. Or pay the little bit extra to go with the Forge.

I'll tell you when my GFB DV worked the throttle response was better BUT......
I started to have boost bleed off and other issues and went back to ALTA.
The ALTA is slower but much more consistent and it holds the boost up to 26 psi CONSISTENTLY....which on the track was a necessity.
Your results may vary though!!!

For N14 an alternative and for the N18 finally a solution.

I just downloaded the Cobb accessport tune stage three...
For some reason at 4000 rpms it kicks back like it coughs I really can't get on it...
This maybe my Alta Recirc valve (blow off valve) or something else?
I have the LFMIC,No cats-no res, boost tap Alta, Cai, Alta recirc valve..N14 R56 Auto Trans
It sucks when I want to get on it..right at 4000 rpms it like chokes out...then slowly get back up...just weird..anyone?

I've successfully installed the GFB DV+ on my Manual 2012 Countryman S All4.
I installed it in the retaining clip hole for the lower o2 sensor and relocated the o2 sensor in the hole suggested for the automatic transmission.

I know that this is an old thread , but I wanted to add my 2 cents. I recently purchased a DV+ for the N18 automatic used from a forum member here. He sent it to me along with a factory diverter for the solenoid. I was having some issues with the factory DV, even with the Alta spring, and I wanted to get it squared away before my ECU tune.
After installing it, I started getting a code that the diverter valve was stuck closed... well rev the motor and clear the code and it would go away for a while but kept recurring. I emailed GFB about it, and I do have to say, fully admitting that I bought it used, they were still very helpful in their response. I lubed the piston on install as per the instructions, but it was sticking or something. So as a last resort before switching back to the factory DV, i uninstalled it and re-lubed the piston, replaced the vacuum hoses with better quality ones and switched the DV solenoid to one I know for a fact works (never tested the other one, I know, dumb) I also relocated the solenoid half to a different spot (in the instructions they tell you to put it in a specific spot...but in their install video, they show a slightly different location to mount it, it’s much better IMO). After putting it all back together, it has been working flawlessly! It really does hold boost better between shifts. It works great with the increase in boost from the tune. My only complaint about it.......... is the noise! As in there isn’t any! Lol! It’s so much quieter than even the stock diverter that even with a cone air filter, it’s almost silent. So quiet in fact, that I removed the cone and put the factory airbox back in since my intake temps are about ten degrees lower with it on. High flow panel filter works really well for airflow on the R60 with the factory airbox. All in all, I am very pleased with the function of the DV+ if not the volume, lol. As much as I do love that pshhh sound, the performance gain far outweighed the sweet noise IMO. Cheers!
