Drivetrain No more Shark Injector problems
Some time back I posted about my MCS going into limp home mode a few times after hitting the rev limiter. This was only occuring when I had a Shark Injector installed and I entered into communications with Jim Conforti to see what the root cause might be.
I am happy to report that while the problem only manifested itself when the Shark was installed it seems to have really been a problem with my v32 code.
I have upgraded to v36 and obtained a new Shark to match that version and there has been no problem since.
For those few people still running v32 I would suggest going to v36 as it seems to have made improvements in other ways too - e.g. the DSC is much less intrusive.

GortdonD,
I'm in the same situation, although I've never experienced the "Limp". How, where and any $ for the upgraded Shark? I got mine from MiniMania.
I take it you had to take the Shark code out prior to the V36 upgrade.
Thanks,
SMKKVK

Sorry I've been traveling on business and away from the site for a few days.
there was no charge form Eurosport to replace the Shark.
I set the code back to base (v32) then sent the Shark back; upgraded to v36 then put the new Shark on when it showed up.

Gordon glad to here all is well. I just found a good deal on a shark, but I have v36.
It is I'm sure not a v36 shark. So the shark absoulutely could not be loaded over v36 ? Or the v36 shark was better?
I am also 400ex.
I tried to have the shark upgraded since I knew it was not a v36 shark. Oops, it needed to fail on install before it could be upgraded. After Eurosports mailed it to my neighbor, it took a week for me to realize that, I attempted the install, and sent it back. It was promptly upgraded and mailed back. Thanks to Josh and Kai !!
I know the opinion of this option is not stellar here. And no, I don't have dyno numbers or graphs.
What I can tell you is that my car runs great. Much smoother and feels all around more refined. It has a refined from factory the factory feel to it that was always missing before. Even before the pulley.
Temps here are still very mild, if it runs like this in the heat of summer, I'll sing the praises of the Shark and John Coforti for along time too come.

Sorry I missed this post.
I got my original Shark long before v36 was out. When I tried to reinstall the Shark after going to v36 i had 'jumped over' the Shark so got it replaced by EuroSport. no problems and so far i am realy happy.
A few of us are trying to do dyno runs in the near future so it will be intersting to see how it lines up with other packages

Had my V3.6 installed Saturday after I uninstalled the Shark. What struck me was the error codes detected by the MINI tech. In particular, was the idle rpm which runs ~ 800rpm pre ancd post Shark and ~1000 rpm w/Shark.
Wish I had the detailed error codes to provide. Has anybody else seen error codes jump out after pulling thier ECU upgrade prior to the V3.6 change?
