185 hp is attainable without warranty issues, so if you'd like me to help you beat JCW to the punch, let me know.
Well why don't you taunt us! I'm more than a little curious. What's it take to get another (honest) 20hp?

TIA,

Jeff

>>My dealer is cool in that they have lots of aftermarket stuff on display and they keep adding new stuff all the time. They even took the aero kit black front grill panels and got them chomed and have those for sale...stuff like that.

Wife is a chrome fanatic (you should see our Z3); who is this dealer that has chromed the aero kit grilles?

Had to get to the dealer today to pick up my plates and asked about the JCW kit for the MCS.
He says look for it in March and the 'off the top of his head' price was about $3K. I'm at the top of his call list so I'll post more info as I get it.

Somebody in the MINI biz ought to know the answer to this...

Why aren't the MINI dealers going to be carrying the DINAN upgrades, like selected BMW dealers do now? And won't DINAN's MINI upgrades be covered under warranty by BMW NA (er, MINI NA), just like DINAN's BMW upgrades are currently under BMW warranty (actually, it's not direct coverage by BMW, but that's another story-- the bottom line is that you can even by Certified Pre-Owned DINAN BMWs complete with supercharges, intakes, exhausts, interiors... all the groovy bits and still get the warranty).

So will some MINI dealers carry John Cooper Works (assumedly with MINI factory blessing and warranty) and some MINI dealers wil carry DINAN and the putzy dealers won't carry either (just like some BMW dealers whose idea of an "upgrade" is adding a CD changer)?

Seems like a MINImal question to me, but I haven't discovered the answer yet...
